Job Summary:

Wyse London is seeking a dynamic and talented Junior Buyer to join our Buying team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering new and exciting product ranges, managing the critical path, and ensuring a smooth and consistent running of the brand.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Product Development: Work closely with the Founder and Head of Buying to deliver new, balanced Knitwear, Outerwear, and Bottoms ranges.
  • Trading and Negotiation: Trade into best sellers on a daily basis, chase strong reactions, and seek new ideas to maximize in-season trading.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Analyze weekly reports and work with merchandising to review risks and opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: Deputize for the Head of Buying when needed, feed back to senior management, and prepare and present weekly trade meetings, product reviews, and sign-offs.
  • Supplier Management: Utilize strong supplier management skills to maintain relationships, meet launch dates, and achieve margin targets.
  • Project Management: Manage and lead projects for the brand as required.
  • Administrative Tasks: Ensure all administrative and systems are accurate and updated in a timely manner to ensure clear and consistent information.
  • Team Development: Support and develop junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Junior or Senior Assistant Buyer with relevant womenswear experience.
  • Skills: Self-motivated and dynamic self-starter, highly organized with great attention to detail, passionate about beautiful product and high quality, flexible and great team player, strong communicator and team leader, ambitious, conscientious, and able to work calmly under pressure.
  • Education: Commercial individual with a great market awareness and confident with numerical skills and experienced with negotiation and trading.
