Job Overview

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Geriatricians to join our Elderly Care Team at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Geriatrician, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Main Duties

As a Consultant Geriatrician, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert clinical care to patients with complex and frailty-related conditions
  • Leading and developing our Elderly Care services, including the new Acute Frailty Unit and state-of-the-art Elderly Care ward
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated care and improve patient outcomes
  • Developing and implementing evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives

Person Specification

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • GMC registration and CCT in Geriatric Medicine
  • Wide experience and high level of competence in General Adult Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Stroke Medicine
  • Leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Commitment to active clinical governance and learning from errors
