Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geriatrician to join our team at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Geriatrician, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to our patients, particularly those with complex and frailty-related conditions.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert medical care to patients with complex and frailty-related conditions
  • Leading and developing our Elderly Care service, including the new AFU/SDEC unit and the state-of-the-art Elderly Care ward
  • Working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care to our patients
  • Developing and implementing evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes
  • Participating in the acute medical on-call rota and other clinical commitments
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • GMC registration and possession of a CCT
  • Wide experience and high-level competence in General Adult Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Stroke Medicine
  • Leadership skills and evidence of team working
  • Knowledge and application of up to-date evidence-based practice
