Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Access Control: Control the entry to site of all customers, lorries, and visitors, ensuring a secure and efficient workflow.
  • Weighing and Recording: Weigh in and out of materials and record all necessary information for invoicing, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Inventory Management: Direct goods inwards to the correct stockpile/location, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of materials.
  • Logistics Coordination: Record time of despatch and return of trucks bringing raw materials to site, facilitating smooth logistics operations.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Ensure the general working of the weighbridge area, including the upkeep and cleanliness of equipment and workstations, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Site Inspections: Following training, undertake a variety of site inspections (Environmental and/or Health and Safety), reporting defects and issues to the site manager, ensuring compliance with company standards.
Requirements
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, liaising with a range of contacts and customers on the telephone and in person.
  • Confidence and Authority: Confidence to control the entry to site of customers, lorries, and visitors, demonstrating a sense of authority and responsibility.
  • Organizational Skills: Organized and analytical, successfully operating the weighbridge computer package, with good numeracy skills for quick and accurate data processing.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in this type of role would be a distinct advantage, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Teamwork: Working with all members of the team to continually raise the Health, Safety, and Environmental standards of the Company.
