Position Summary:

An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a dedicated professional to join our accomplished team in the South-West region. This role focuses on delivering support to farming and crofting operations, emphasizing the analysis and processing of farm financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with farmers to manage and analyze their business accounts data
  • Conducting comprehensive financial analyses of farm accounts, contributing to national initiatives
  • Implementing the Scottish Government's Sustainable Farming program, including Soil Sampling, Carbon Audits, and Animal Health and Welfare plans
  • Exploring new avenues for client engagement based on emerging needs and the skill set of the postholder
  • Demonstrating experience in the agricultural sector
  • Exhibiting strong communication and numerical skills
  • Maintaining meticulous attention to detail and adapting to new technical systems and methodologies

The ideal candidate will thrive under pressure, consistently producing precise and timely reports to meet the demands of the role.

Additional Duties:

The post-holder may be required to undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the Line Manager.

The successful candidate will be adept at multitasking and utilizing their initiative in their work, applying sound judgment in accordance with SRUC regulations and procedures.

Qualifications:

The successful applicant will possess qualifications equivalent to SCQF level 6, with a strong emphasis on numeracy. A degree in an Agricultural, Business, or Numerate-related field is preferred. Relevant experience in agricultural environments and familiarity with farm accounts is essential.
