Overview

About the Role

As a Workshop Controller, you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of our workshop. You will be responsible for supervising and motivating a team of Technicians & Apprentices, ensuring they meet their targets and deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Reporting to our supportive Aftersales Manager, you will receive ongoing support to excel in your role. You will have the opportunity to undergo brand-specific training to enhance your skills within the premium Jaguar Land Rover brand and the motor trade industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all service work is performed correctly, competently, and on time.
  • Maintain relationships with the vehicle manufacturer and provide technical support to Technicians.
  • Ensure compliance with company, DVSA, health and safety, and OEM policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to deliver top-quality service.
  • Schedule work efficiently to meet customer needs and workshop targets.
  • Assist the team with technical challenges and write technical reports.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have experience in the motor industry managing a team in a busy Service/Workshop environment, along with an NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent. Knowledge of COSHH legislation, trade practices, and consumer legislation is essential. Friendly, confident, and enthusiastic individuals with a strong work ethic and a collaborative attitude are encouraged to apply. A full valid UK driving license is required for this role.
