Data Technician Apprentice

About the Role:
The Data Technician Apprentice will play a vital role in supporting the Commercial Operations Team within the Integrated Passenger Transport Unit (IPTU) at Essex County Council. This team is responsible for various passenger transport services in Essex, including the Ugobus mini bus fleet, travel training for people with additional needs, and the introduction of new innovative projects such as DigiGo.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the delivery of routine administrative tasks, dealing with day-to-day work including providing support and engaging with different parts of the organisation while interacting with internal or external customers.
- Contribute to the efficiency of the organisation by supporting functional areas, working across teams, and resolving issues as requested.
- Assist colleagues with programmes of work to ensure timely delivery, participate in and contribute to specific programme areas, and support the implementation of projects and initiatives.
- Develop an awareness of emerging industry trends and best practices, incorporating relevant knowledge into daily tasks and responsibilities.
- Deliver administrative support across a wide array of activities to ensure effective operations across diverse functions.
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure that work is completed efficiently and accurately.
- Continuously learn and develop skills through on-the-job training and attending relevant workshops or courses.
- Collaborate with mentors and senior team members to actively seek opportunities for professional development, tailored to both personal aspirations and organisational goals.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- At least a grade of 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- No undergraduate degree in any subject, or a Level 3 or above qualification in Business or Data.
- The right to work and study in England.
- Been ordinarily resident in the UK or EEA for three years before the apprenticeship start date.
