Import Operations Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Import Clerk to join our client in Farnborough. The successful candidate will handle import operations, ensuring smooth customs procedures and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Process import shipments and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage customs declarations using the Customs Declaration Service (CDS).
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and transport companies to coordinate efficient movement of goods.
- Handle shipment documentation, including bills of lading and invoices.
- Communicate with suppliers and customers to resolve any import-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of import transactions.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in handling imports.
- Proficient in using CDS for customs clearance.
- Strong understanding of import procedures and regulations.
- Experience in multimodal transport (air, sea, road) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
This role is hands-on and requires someone who can manage multiple shipments at once. Our client is a freight forwarding, warehousing & logistics business that offers competitive pricing for freight & storage services.
