We are seeking an experienced Import Clerk to join our client in Farnborough. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling import operations, ensuring smooth customs procedures and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process import shipments and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage customs declarations using the Customs Declaration Service (CDS).
  • Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and transport companies to coordinate efficient movement of goods.
  • Handle shipment documentation, including bills of lading and invoices.
  • Communicate with suppliers and customers to resolve any import-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of import transactions.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in handling imports.
  • Proficient in using CDS for customs clearance.
  • Strong understanding of import procedures and regulations.
  • Experience in multimodal transport (air, sea, road) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Sequoia is an advantage.

This role requires a hands-on individual who can manage multiple shipments at once. Our client is a freight forwarding, warehousing & logistics business that offers competitive pricing for freight & storage services.

UK experience is essential for this role, and our client is unable to provide sponsorship.
