Import Clerk Job Description

Right Now Group is seeking an experienced Import Clerk to join their Freight Forwarder team based in the Farnborough area.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of import procedures and documentation, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Air, Sea, and Road Import operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle import consignments from start to finish, including customs clearance and transportation coordination.
  • Liaise with airline sheds and ports to ensure smooth delivery of goods.
  • Manage relationships with internal offices and external partners to meet customer requirements.
  • Process quotations and invoices for imports and transportation services.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to meet tight deadlines and handle overtime as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in import operations, including customs clearance and transportation coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of import procedures and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary: £30,000 - £35,000.
  • Standard working hours: 09:00 - 17:30, Monday to Friday.
  • Permanent contract.
