About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Assistant to join our team at Croydon Council. As a key member of our Strategic Procurement and Governance team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of an effective sourcing process for sub-threshold procurements.

As a Procurement Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining reports/lists of existing suppliers on Oracle Fusion, ensuring that signed contracts have been lodged in the contract repository, and providing advice to Client Services on sourcing sub-threshold procurements. You will also work with stakeholders on a project-by-project basis to ensure compliance to the purchasing and procurement process for agreed areas of expenditure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of existing suppliers on Oracle Fusion.
  • Ensure that all signed contracts are lodged in the contract repository and that contract award notices are published on Contracts Finder.
  • Provide expert advice to Client Services on sourcing sub-threshold procurements, taking into account contract law and public procurement legislation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to promote effective procurement, purchasing, and supply.
