About the Role

Canonical is seeking a highly skilled Silicon Alliances Ecosystem Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Silicon Alliances Team, you will play a critical role in driving the growth and adoption of Ubuntu in the enterprise market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Canonical and its solutions to semiconductor partners, developing a deep understanding of their strategies, technologies, and roadmaps.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, marketing, and sales teams to facilitate new business opportunities, leading the definition of joint products, solutions, and complex programs.
  • Ensure robust project plans are created, tracked, and executed, and develop joint Go To Market strategies and campaigns with silicon partners.
  • Negotiate successful contracts and manage market messaging, collateral, and launch plans across products.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in science, technology, and/or engineering.
  • Fundamental understanding of the semiconductor industry and ecosystem.
  • Experience in software and system architecture is preferred.
  • Customer-facing experience in business development, technology strategy, or similar functions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to grasp complex material and synthesize key points.
  • Ability to think and work at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Disciplined and self-motivated for a remote-first workplace environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with open source software and open source business models.
  • Team leadership or program management experience.
