Expert Biodiversity Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join our team at Climate 17, a leading consultancy firm focused on addressing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) risks and opportunities in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality projects related to biodiversity and/or Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD) studies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including international financial institutions.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and identify new opportunities for growth.
- 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in environmental or social sciences.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Expertise in biodiversity management, including species conservation and habitat restoration.
- Strong knowledge of ESIA and ESDD studies, including the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standards.
- Ability to develop and implement effective biodiversity strategies.
- Compliance with international and local regulations, including environmental and social laws.
- Project management skills, including stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution.
