Job Description

Job Title: Warehouse Returns Operative

Job Summary:

KPI Recruiting is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Returns Operative to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse returns process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • De-briefing all returning vehicles to the depot
  • Conducting thorough inspections for any damages and safety issues
  • Communicating with drivers regarding daily runs and addressing any issues that may arise
  • Reporting any defects or issues to the relevant teams
  • Managing Vehicle Operation Records (VORs)
  • Downloading camera footage from vehicles and tacho graph machines
  • Liaising with our vehicle management unit, subcontractors, and drivers

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of transportation legislation and logistics operations
  • Ability to build strong relationships with people, even in high-pressure situations
  • Capacity to challenge vehicle issues or damages with drivers
  • Able to make decisions in the absence of the Depot Manager to drive performance and service
  • Quick thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient use of Microsoft, particularly Excel
