About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Special Education Instructor to join our team at CareTech Group. As a Special Education Instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and challenging lessons to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students with special educational needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet their needs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to student support.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of teaching, learning, and qualifications.
  • Experience of working in non-mainstream settings with challenging learners.
  • Ability to empathize and support the development of learning.
  • Robust understanding of safeguarding procedures.
  • Ability to work as part of a small team.
  • Good general level of education (Teaching qualification, ideally hold a Level 2 qualification in Mathematics and English or equivalent).
  • Excellent delivery and communication skills.
  • You must be reliable, flexible, adaptable, and possess the ability to motivate and inspire.
  • Good coordination and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrable track record of student achievement.
  • Innovative, fast thinking, and versatile.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Good general level of ICT skills including Microsoft Office.
