About the Role:
The Cambian Group is seeking a dedicated and passionate Class Instructor to join our team at Darwin School. As a Class Instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and challenging lessons to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEND.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans that promote student progress and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum programs that meet the needs of students with SEND.
- Monitor and assess student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these.
Person Specification:
- Proven experience in teaching and learning in non-mainstream settings.
- Strong understanding of SEND and the ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Ability to empathize and support the development of students with SEND.
- Robust understanding of safeguarding procedures and protocols.
- Good general level of education, with a teaching qualification and relevant subject expertise.
- Excellent delivery and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Good coordination and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Demonstrable track record of student achievement and progress.
