We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Expert Onboarding & Review Specialist to join our team at Starling Bank Limited. As a key member of our onboarding and review team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and secure onboarding of new customers.
Key Responsibilities- Reviewing High-Risk Applications: You will be responsible for reviewing high-risk applications using our risk appetite framework to ensure that we serve customers in a timely manner while maintaining the safety of the bank and its customers.
- Process Improvement: You will be expected to challenge the status quo and identify opportunities for process improvements, guidance changes, and projects that will enhance the customer journey.
- Mentorship and Training: You will act as a mentor to the onboarding and periodic review teams, providing guidance and support to build knowledge and confidence in high-risk subject matter and our risk appetite.
- Enhanced Due Diligence: You will be responsible for understanding and overseeing the identification of high-risk applications that require enhanced due diligence, liaising with customers on more complex applications, and ensuring that queues and workstreams are well maintained.
- Training and Development: You will deliver engaging training sessions to large groups, using trends and data to proactively seek improvements to existing processes and take ownership of these improvements from start to finish.
- Policies and Procedures: You will design, simplify, review, and update internal policies and procedures to ensure that they are effective and efficient.
- Stakeholder Engagement: You will proactively build relationships with key stakeholders across the business and leverage these relationships when working on guidance and projects.
- Customer-Centric Approach: You will have a customer-centric approach, balancing this with interpreting the bank's risk appetite.
- Expertise in Onboarding and Due Diligence: You will have expert understanding of onboarding and due diligence processes.
- Coaching and Feedback: You will be competent in coaching and feedback, with the ability to deliver structured sessions that are goals-centric.
- Knowledge of Regulations: You will have knowledge of money laundering regulations and JMLSG guidance.
- Training and Development: You will be able to create meaningful, interactive training sessions on risk and EDD.
- Workload Management: You will be able to balance workload and schedules with multiple priorities.
- Adaptability: You will be able to adapt to and deliver change in a fast-paced environment.
