Accounts Receivable / Credit Control Specialist – German Speaker

  • Location: EMEA Shared Service Centre

Overview:

Our EMEA Shared Service Centre, located in the UK, comprises approximately 250 professionals across three key functions: Finance, Credit & Collections, and Supply Chain. We provide support to over 20 countries and communicate in around 40 different languages. The SSC is part of a larger network of five distinct SCJ businesses based at this site.

Ideal Candidate:

We welcome candidates with various levels of experience; however, a background in finance or current involvement in an Accounts Receivable role is preferred.

Role Summary:

This position is integral to the Customer Financial Services department (Credit Control), focusing on managing collections and credit management activities in alignment with departmental KPIs.

Team Overview:

The Customer Financial Services (CFS) team plays a vital role in supporting commercial operations across the EMEA region, handling Collections, Resolutions, Cash Allocation, and Pricing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster and enhance relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee customer rebates and promotional invoicing.
  • Conduct comprehensive investigations into pricing and logistics claims.
  • Mitigate the risk of bad debts through effective credit management practices.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts and prepare month-end reports.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in both English and German.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within an accounting or AR context.
  • Intermediate skills in Excel and Outlook.
