Position: Accounts Receivable / Credit Control Specialist – German Speaker

Location: EMEA Shared Service Centre

Overview:

Join our dynamic EMEA Shared Service Centre, where we are a diverse team of around 250 professionals across Finance, Credit & Collections, and Supply Chain. Our centre supports a wide range of countries and operates in multiple languages, reflecting our commitment to excellence in service delivery.

Role Summary:

This position is integral to the Customer Financial Services department, focusing on enhancing SCJ's financial health through effective management of collections and credit operations. Your role will involve minimizing outstanding deductions, expediting claim validations, and ensuring precise invoice allocations, all while adhering to departmental KPIs.

Team Dynamics:

The Customer Financial Services team comprises seven multilingual units dedicated to supporting our commercial operations across the EMEA region, handling Collections, Resolutions, Cash Allocation, and Pricing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee credit risk management for a designated portfolio of customer accounts within the EMEA region.
  • Make informed credit decisions while working independently and collaboratively across functions.
  • Proactively pursue outstanding Receivable items and manage incoming claims.
  • Take ownership of customer credit and ledger issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external controls while identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Foster and enhance relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely cash collection and resolution of queries.
  • Manage customer rebates and promotional invoices, ensuring timely validation and processing.
  • Conduct detailed investigations into pricing and logistics claims.
  • Mitigate risks associated with bad debts through best practices in credit management.
  • Oversee the establishment of long-term agreements to prevent unauthorized expenditures.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of subsystems to SAP GL accounts and assist in month-end reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in English and German; proficiency in additional languages such as Danish, Spanish, or French is a plus.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, preferably within an accounting or accounts receivable context.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel for reporting purposes and familiarity with Outlook.
