Job Title: Neonatal Nurse Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neonatal Nurse Educator to join our team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our maternity services team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and training to our midwives and maternity support workers.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering education programs that promote the acquisition of new skills and knowledge among our multidisciplinary team. You will work collaboratively with senior midwives to ensure that our education programs are effective, high-quality, and patient-centered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver education programs for midwives and maternity support workers
  • Work collaboratively with senior midwives to ensure effective education programs
  • Contribute to the continuing education, training, and professional development of the multidisciplinary team
  • Develop and drive forward an education program to ensure that midwives and maternity support workers acquire the professional standards and competencies required
  • Promote reflective practice, clinical supervision, and experiential learning opportunities
Requirements
  • Registered midwife
  • Recognised training or teaching qualification or equivalent experience
  • Educated to degree level or working towards a degree or with relevant experience
  • Evidence of recent professional development
  • Coaching and/or mentoring qualification
  • Educated to postgraduate diploma level acquired through degree and professional teaching/training qualification, or equivalent level of training experience
