This position presents a unique opportunity to offer administrative assistance on various intricate and demanding building safety initiatives, aimed at safeguarding residents and users of buildings.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative assistance to the Building Safety team, ensuring accurate record-keeping, report drafting, and management of meeting arrangements.
  • Aid in the coordination of building safety initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and high-quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, including residents, contractors, consultants, and other departments.
  • Conduct building safety evaluations and assist in managing risks and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to building safety regulations and relevant legislation.
  • Stay informed about updates in legislation and best practices within the building safety sector.
  • Facilitate the provision of building safety training and awareness programs for residents and building users.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in an administrative or coordination capacity, ideally within the construction, compliance, fire safety, or building safety sectors.
  • Familiarity with building safety laws and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High attention to detail and capability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A commitment to building safety and a desire to positively influence the community are essential.
