About the Role

As a Senior/Staff Engineer at Sky, you will be part of a dynamic team that builds innovative software solutions for the television broadcasting industry. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing, building, and deploying software that reaches millions of customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop cutting-edge software applications using JavaScript or TypeScript and React JS.
  • Collaborate with product management to align engineering activities and drive project discussions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, promoting sound engineering principles and high standards across the team.
  • Advocate for and implement best practices in software engineering and architecture.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise-grade frontend applications, prioritizing customer satisfaction and engagement.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in designing, building, and running enterprise-grade frontend applications.
  • Proven ability to design user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) that prioritize customer satisfaction and engagement.
  • Professional experience using public cloud offerings from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience in developing engineering talent through mentorships and coaching.
  • Good understanding of Agile frameworks, foundational architectural and engineering concepts, API designs, and agile best practices.
