About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Project Control Specialist to join our Transportation team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial part in shaping our exciting projects and contributing to our mission of reinventing transport for a challenging yet exciting future.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and support the project on the monthly collation of progress data related to time, cost, risk, and quality for monthly business reporting.
  • Provide specialist advice and technical knowledge to respond to delays, issues, and other challenges throughout the project.
  • Administer Project Control activities, conduct audits, assurance checks of contractors' monthly data submissions, and ensure the submissions are fully assessed and are paid in line with the project KPIs.
  • Support the administration of trend/forecast reporting and the Baseline Change Management of the agreed project budget, ensuring that all changes are correctly attributed and charged accordingly.
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of monthly performance reports to the project lead, in line with business reporting requirements and timescales, to enable prompt decision making, approvals, and financial forecasting.
  • Provide guidance and corrective actions to teams to ensure the quality of task submissions and reporting of costs.
  • Attend monthly reviews and other meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of Project Control principles for major programmes.
  • Experience in facilitating and administering multidiscipline meetings with large groups of stakeholders.
  • Technical Competencies - Primavera P6 proficient.
  • Understanding of the importance of timely reporting and the energy to deliver against demanding deadlines.
  • The ability to build strong relationships and support colleagues. Enthusiasm, ideas, and drive to grow, learn, and develop within our organisation.
  • Experience within a project environment supporting the Project Manager/Director.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience of interacting with internal and external clients.
  • Initiative – ability to work with minimum supervision and make suggestions on best practice and improving current processes and procedures.
  • Teamwork – willingly cooperate with the others towards the same goals and objectives.

Security Clearance:

This role may require security clearance, and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
