About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Acute Medicine Consultant to join our team at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Division of Integrated Medicine and Emergency Care, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and leading our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior medical staff
  • Oversee and lead daily reviews of the medical take through our Acute Medical Unit and Short Stay Unit
  • Facilitate rapid triage, assessment, and discharge for ambulatory patients
  • Contribute to the teaching of medical trainees and students in the department
  • Participate in relevant audit and quality assurance processes
  • Manage the department to maintain efficient and timely patient flow

  • Full registration with the GMC
