About the Role

The Global Press Office Assistant will play a key role in supporting the Global Press Office team at Elsevier Limited Company. This includes providing administrative support, assisting in media relations, and helping to distribute press releases across various channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Global Press Office, providing administrative support as needed.
  • Help to build and maintain relationships with media outlets, responding to queries and monitoring social media and news coverage.
  • Assist in the distribution of press releases, media access codes, and daily newsletters to media outlets around the world.
  • Contribute to the creation of monthly media reports and presentations.
  • Help to build and maintain media lists.

Requirements

  • Be currently enrolled or graduated in a field related to journalism, communications, research, or science.
  • Be a native or near-native English speaker with excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Have excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Have great organizational skills, with the ability to take initiative and multitask.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to work impartially.
