The Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional freelance bar manager to oversee the delivery and execution of our events at multiple sites across London. This role requires at least one year of experience in a management position within the hospitality and bar management industry.

As a freelance bar manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our clients' events, including client liaison and team management. Your expertise in front-of-house management, coupled with a keen eye for detail and consistent presentation, is essential.

Your performance within Flutes will be monitored through regular manager audits, adherence to agreed event timeframes, achieving excellent guest satisfaction/feedback, and fostering a positive onsite environment that promotes employee quality and retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain an efficient bar and stock room
  • Supervise bar staff, motivating your team to deliver exceptional service
  • Ensure the safe and secure handling of bar stocks, till operation, and cash management
  • Strictly adhere to venue Responsible Service of Alcohol policies
  • Place stock orders to maintain adequate inventory levels
  • Interact with customers, providing excellent service and ensuring high standards are maintained
  • Comply with health and safety regulations at all times
  • Provide till and counter service efficiently and accurately
  • Support hospitality services and events as required
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in your designated area
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety requirements to meet legal and company standards
  • Report any hazards or defects promptly
  • Lead and train staff with a positive and proactive attitude
  • Demonstrate the ability to multitask and thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Possess excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills, enabling you to interact confidently with individuals at all levels
