Job Summary:
Brightpoint Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education, serving students and the community through its two campuses, online, and in locations throughout its service area. As a Student Support Representative, you will be the first point of contact for general information about the college and its academic/student services. You will respond to inquiries from community members, students, faculty, staff, and administrators, providing administrative support to college employees housed in the Help Hub. This is a full-time position with a variable work schedule, including on-campus and virtual work, with some evening and weekend hours required during peak enrollment periods.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and community members
  • Respond to walk-in, texting, and telephone inquiries
  • Provide administrative support to college employees
  • Work collaboratively with a diverse student population
  • Support the college's mission and open-access community college philosophy
Requirements:
  • Experience performing administrative tasks
  • Customer service experience, preferably
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse student population
  • Understanding of and commitment to open-access community college philosophy and student success
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or higher
  • Proficiency in the use of eVA and PeopleSoft
  • Higher education experience
