About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Trust. As a Staff Nurse on our acute male adult ward, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients and supporting our Trust's mission to provide outstanding care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients and carers, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop effective risk management plans and timely review of risk management plans, identifying opportunities for positive risk taking in conjunction with the client, carers/significant others, and the ward team.
  • Provide person-centred and recovery-focused care, promoting the well-being and dignity of our patients.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, adhering to the principles of the Mental Health Act 2007.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring that they are tailored to the individual needs of our patients.
Requirements
  • Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse - NMC.
  • IT literate and proficient in the use of electronic patient records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education, with a focus on evidence-based practice and best practice in mental health care.
