Position: Consultant Physician in Geriatric Medicine

This is a permanent, full-time/part-time position (40 hours per week) focused on the care of elderly patients. The role involves:

  • Managing acute inpatients in Geriatric Medicine.
  • Providing leadership and comprehensive assessments for frail elderly patients presenting in acute settings.
  • Collaborating with the Emergency Department frailty team to deliver targeted geriatric assessments.
  • Participating in on-call duties related to Geriatric Medicine.

The successful candidate will join a supportive team of consultants committed to delivering exceptional care to elderly patients while also contributing to high-quality training for both postgraduate and undergraduate learners.

Requirements:

Applicants must possess full GMC Registration, a license to practice, and be eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Candidates trained in the UK should provide evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within six months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
