This role offers a unique opportunity for a Clinical Fellow in the Department of Renal Medicine at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

This is a full-time position funded by NHS Lothian for a duration of one year, designed to provide specialized experience in Nephrology. The role is ideal for an in-program or post-CCT physician seeking to enhance their expertise in specific sub-specialty areas of Nephrology, including transplantation, dialysis, or vasculitis. The successful candidate's specific interests, including research, will be accommodated where applicable, and dedicated research periods could be integrated into the job plan, subject to negotiation.

The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh offers renal services to the Lothian & Borders regions and provides kidney transplantation services across the North, East, and South-East of Scotland, as well as kidney-pancreas transplantation for the entirety of Scotland. Through collaboration with the University of Edinburgh, the Renal Department maintains a strong focus on translational research, particularly in the area of senescence.

The post holder will be integrated into the Department of Renal Medicine at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and will participate in the renal StR on-call rota.
