We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PR Manager to join our team. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for developing and executing engaging customer-focused PR strategies that maximize our brand and customer credentials, solidifying our position as the UK's leading price comparison site.

You will work closely with other content teams across the business to understand customer needs and preferences, seeking innovative ways to reach and engage with them. Your expertise will be essential in managing external agencies, program management of technical tools, process development, and management.

Key qualifications and skills include:

  • Exceptional PR credentials, with a laser-like focus on reputation management
  • Creative and willing to try new approaches
  • Proficient in using data to tell compelling stories
  • A sharp eye for social and brand trends

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and delivering impactful PR activities for brand, corporate, and customer PR, ensuring Compare the Market and its products remain top of mind for customers and partners
  • Staying ahead of market trends and competitor activity, identifying new PR opportunities
  • Collaborating with agencies to maximize our presence in the current news agenda, facilitating seamless and authentic engagement
  • Working across the business to align PR activities with commercial objectives
  • Growing and maintaining relationships with journalists and broadcasters, positioning Compare the Market as a force for good and driving fame and love for our brand characters and Rewards

You will also be responsible for:

  • Managing the 'always on' press office, including reactive media queries and participating in the out-of-hours rota system
  • Supporting spokespeople with media training and preparation for interviews
  • Preparing and/or commissioning high-quality copy to bring our PR activity to life
  • Proactively and reactively supporting the Head of PR with reputation management
  • Running multi-agency briefings and managing campaign activity
