Job Title: Surveyor - Cost Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Surveyor - Cost Manager to join our team at Corepeople Recruitment. As a key member of our commercial division, you will be responsible for managing a team of Quantity Surveyors and providing leadership, mentoring, and guidance to support project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 5 Quantity Surveyors, providing leadership, mentoring, and guidance to support project delivery.
  • Provide commercial leadership and support to project teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximize project profitability and minimize risk.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure commercial requirements are met.
  • Manage and maintain commercial records, including contracts, invoices, and payment schedules.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar commercial role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of JCT or NEC contracts, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a commercial context.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
