Job Summary

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Recovery Practitioner to join our team in a private hospital based in the Chelmsford area. As a key member of the clinical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients undergoing surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Promote and maintain the highest standards of individualized nursing care according to hospital policies and national standards.
  • Clinical Assessment: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the needs of patients on an ongoing basis, coordinating care given by all members of the clinical team.
  • Communication: Accurately assimilate and interpret clinical information about patients' conditions, instigate appropriate remedial action, and promptly report changes.
  • Team Collaboration: Act as an expert member of the Recovery team and provide accurate information, advice, and support to the multidisciplinary team, patients, and their relatives.
  • Record Keeping: Ensure accurate records are maintained reflecting changes in patients' conditions and treatment delivered.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Professional Conduct: Work in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct/HCPC Standards of conduct and other professional guidelines.
  • Expert Care: Provide expert, holistic care of the highest standard to both perioperative patients and their relatives within the hospital.
  • Clinical Leadership: Act as an expert clinical resource within theatres and across the hospital.
  • Management Responsibilities: Take direct managerial responsibility for the clinical area in the absence of or as delegated by a Team Leader, Lead Practitioner, or the Theatre Manager.
  • Organizational Citizenship: Contribute to the overall good of the organization by being a positive role model and treating all staff, visitors, consultants, and service users with courtesy and respect.
  • Specialty Rotation: Will undertake rotation across specialties to cover the service where acquired skills allow.
