We are seeking a passionate and dedicated midwife to join our team at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Band 6 Community Midwife. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and culturally diverse environment, promoting midwifery care to women from a wide range of backgrounds.
Main Responsibilities- Deliver holistic, woman-centred care to our diverse local community, promoting midwifery by providing high-quality care.
- Work closely with the midwifery and obstetric teams to meet the specific needs of women, including those with low and high-risk pregnancies.
- Contribute to the normalisation of the pregnancy and birth experience for women, promoting continuity of carer and increasing homebirth rates.
- Provide high-risk care for women who require it, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
- Develop skills and knowledge in fetal monitoring, CTG, and STAN monitoring, expanding your understanding of fetal well-being.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for a midwife with:
- Valid NMC pin and completed preceptorship.
- Competences in perineal suturing, IV drug administration, and cannulation.
- Mentorship/SSSA experience.
- Inpatient and outpatient experience in all areas, including community and continuity of carer experience.
- Current mandatory CPD.
