Senior Assessor for GCSE Greek

Position: Senior Assessor
Accountable for: Examination Papers 1GK0 4F & 4H (writing assessment)
Objective: To develop suitable evaluation materials, including examination papers and grading frameworks, while overseeing the consistency of marking standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- To create an initial draft of the examination paper, addressing any feedback and producing a revised version.
- To formulate and endorse questions and grading frameworks, ensuring alignment with the curriculum content and assessment criteria.
- To participate in the Question Paper Evaluation Committee meetings and finalize the examination draft.
- To confirm that the final examination papers adhere to the specified content and assessment goals.
- To maintain uniformity in standards across various optional questions and examination papers.
- To supervise the marking standards of all examiners, including Assistant Principal Examiners, Team Leaders, and Examiners, ensuring precision and uniformity.
- To evaluate the performance of examiners, providing guidance on their recruitment, training, and reappointment.
- To attend the grading meeting, offering insights on mark ranges for grade boundaries.
- To compile a performance evaluation report on the examination paper.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- Proven experience in teaching the relevant subject and educational level.
- Qualified Teacher Status is preferred.
- Assessment experience in the relevant qualification is essential.
- Experience in managing personnel is required.
- Ability to meet deadlines is crucial.
- Strong and proactive communication skills are necessary.
- Capability to perform well under pressure is important.
- Effective decision-making skills are required.
- Ability to enhance potential in oneself and others is essential.
- Strong organizational and IT skills are necessary.
