About the Role

As a Greek GCSE Examiner, you will play a vital role in evaluating student performance and ensuring the quality of educational assessments. You will be responsible for marking candidate responses according to established mark schemes, upholding rigorous standards and contributing to the overall success of Pearson's International GCSE program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately and consistently apply marking criteria to ensure consistent assessment standards across all candidates.
  • Submit designated samples of marked work to your Team Leader for review and quality assurance.
  • Adhere to established marking deadlines and milestones to ensure timely completion of the assessment process.
  • Meticulously complete all administrative tasks associated with the examination process, adhering to Pearson's guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Hold a recognized teaching qualification, either from the UK or internationally.
  • Demonstrate at least 5 months of part-time teaching experience within the last 10 years, specifically in the relevant GCSE subject and qualification. This experience must be obtained within the UK.
  • Alternatively, consider applicants with assessment experience within the last 5 years with a recognized UK exam board, demonstrating relevance to the specific GCSE subject and qualification being assessed.
