Objective:
The primary aim of this role is to develop suitable evaluation materials, including examination papers and grading criteria, while ensuring the uniformity of the marking process.
Key Duties:
- To create an initial draft of the examination paper, address any feedback or modifications, and finalize the document.
- To formulate and endorse questions and grading criteria, confirming that the content and assessment standards of the specification are adhered to in the examination papers.
- To participate in the Question Paper Evaluation Committee (QPEC) meeting and deliver a conclusive draft.
- To guarantee that the final examination papers align with the content and assessment objectives outlined in the specification.
- To ensure consistency of standards across various optional questions and examination papers.
- To oversee the marking standards of all examiners, ensuring precision and uniformity throughout the marking process.
- To evaluate the performance of examiners, providing guidance on their selection, training, and re-evaluation.
- To attend the awarding meeting, offering insights on mark ranges for grade boundaries.
- To compile a performance evaluation report regarding the examination paper.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Proven experience in teaching the relevant subject and level.
- Qualified Teacher Status is preferred.
- Experience in assessment related to the relevant qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in managing personnel.
- Capability to adhere to deadlines.
- Effective and proactive communication skills.
- Ability to perform well under pressure.
- Strong decision-making capabilities.
