About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Sales Representative to join our General Medical Products team. As a Field Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling and promoting our high-quality, innovative General Surgery medical device products portfolio, including GORE® BIO-A® Tissue Reinforcement, GORE® SYNECOR Intraperitoneal Biomaterial, and GORE® SEAMGUARD® Bioabsorbable Staple Line Reinforcement products.

Responsibilities:
  • Maximize sales and ensure market penetration with existing business and actively pursue new customers and develop new opportunities.
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and physician customers.
  • Coordinate and implement local sales promotion activities.
  • Gain recognition as a go-to person at Gore and as a product expert.
  • Attend international and regional trade fairs and congresses.
  • Partner closely with the UK Sales Leader, Regional Product Specialists, and Regional Strategic Marketers to achieve the annual revenue forecast.
  • Support new product introduction and local marketing initiatives.
  • Provide clinical product education and training, as well as regular involvement in the Operating Room.
  • Apply a solid knowledge of business fundamentals and hospital organizations to assist in dealings with public and private hospital administrations and their purchasing departments.
  • Contribute to the success of the EMEA GMP business through subject matter expertise and deep market and customer understanding, specifically the Complex Hernia and Bariatric market.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a medical device Field Sales representative, preferably with a medical engineering or clinical background in the interventional Hernia and Bariatric environment.
  • Ideal degree educated in a science, technical, or clinical discipline.
  • Possess extensive commercial skills enabling effective presentation and negotiation with a wide variety of people.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and well-organized.
  • Able to analyze and understand the market to successfully plan objectives, strategies, and actions according to business unit guidelines.
  • Flexible work ethic, reacting to customer requirements.
  • A team-player, naturally interacting with other associates across Europe on a regular basis.
  • Willingness to undertake extensive travel within the UK and internationally for sales meetings, congresses, and training.
