Position Overview

Darlington Borough Council is currently seeking dedicated Care Support Specialists to assist in our mission of empowering residents to achieve greater independence and well-being.

About the Role

Our Reablement Team has experienced a transformative journey in recent years, focusing on enhancing independence and delivering tailored outcomes for individuals.

Key priorities include:

  • Reducing social isolation
  • Delaying the need for additional support
  • Supporting caregivers
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents

Due to the success of our initiatives, we are expanding our services.

Available Positions

We have multiple openings:

  • 3 positions at 30 hours per week
  • 1 position at 24 hours per week (Permanent)
  • Various casual roles
Candidate Profile

We prioritize individuals who possess the right attitude and values. Comprehensive training will be provided for all necessary tasks, along with opportunities to shadow experienced colleagues during the onboarding process.

Service Details

This is a short-term service that allows you to work with new individuals accessing our support for up to six weeks. Duties may include:

  • Assisting with personal care tasks
  • Facilitating hygiene routines
  • Meal planning and preparation
  • Medication management

This role is incredibly fulfilling, as you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals striving to regain their independence.

Shift Patterns

We offer a variety of shift patterns, including weekend and bank holiday work. The service operates from Monday to Sunday, with shifts available from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM and 4 PM to 10 PM.
