Are you a compassionate individual with a passion for working with children? Milestone Academy is currently looking for a Midday Meal Supervisor. This part-time role allows you to keep your mornings and afternoons free while contributing to the well-being of our students. The successful candidate will be part of our dedicated support team, working 10 hours per week (2 hours per day) during term time, plus an additional week for training.

This permanent position offers a salary of £5,131 per annum (£22,072 full-time equivalent), based on a commitment of 10 hours per week during term time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the safe and orderly entry of students into the dining area, ensuring appropriate behavior during meal times.
  • Ensure adequate seating arrangements and settings for all students dining.
  • Monitor students during meals to ensure they are eating properly and have access to drinks.
  • Assist students with their meal needs, including cleaning up spills and addressing personal care requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the dining area post-meal.
  • Supervise students during transitions from classrooms to dining areas, ensuring safety and proper conduct.
  • Support students with personal care tasks as needed.
  • Facilitate access to first aid when necessary.
  • Engage with students about their meals and lunchtime activities to promote social skills.
  • Act as a positive role model, encouraging good behavior and supporting the overall environment of the school.
