Assistant Manager, Cyber, Chubb Overseas General

The Assistant Manager for Cyber will play a pivotal role in enhancing underwriting performance and operational excellence across all regions of Chubb Overseas General (COG) Cyber. This position will also spearhead the strategy and execution for expanding the Cyber Practice throughout various regions and market segments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Global Cyber Product team to effectively implement and stimulate growth in Cyber across all COG territories.
  • Engage with Industry Practice Managers to ensure alignment with strategic objectives where cyber is integrated into the product suite.
  • Partner with the Global Cyber Product team to revise and execute Cyber underwriting guidelines, appetites, rating manuals, and product summaries.
  • Oversee product innovation, manage the WASP process, and revise policy language in conjunction with the Global Cyber Product team.
  • Tailor the cyber service offering in collaboration with Cyber Risk Engineering/Threat Intelligence and the Cyber Innovation Officer to guarantee successful implementation and delivery across diverse geographic areas and customer segments.
  • Design and implement technical training frameworks and generate specialized underwriting knowledge materials. Assist with additional learning and development initiatives led by the COG Cyber Executive Vice President.
  • Collaborate on reinsurance proposals, portfolio assessment processes, and quarterly reporting with the Cyber and Technology team.
  • Validate data in partnership with actuaries, modeling, data analytics, and portfolio management teams.
  • Ensure data integrity for the portfolio managed by regional cyber managers for effective cyber portfolio management.
  • Address referrals in major accounts and mid-market segments for both Cyber and Technology.
  • Provide authority to line underwriters consistent with their experience and expertise.
  • Support Cyber and Technology audits and oversee compliance with the Peer Review process for the cyber line of business.
  • Engage in significant meetings with managers, brokers, and policyholders to negotiate coverage terms as necessary.
  • Review proposed manuscript policy and endorsement language from external sources.
  • Assist in promoting Cyber products through panel discussions, white papers, and presentations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Cyber Executive Vice President in managing internal stakeholder communications and delivery.
  • Develop Thought Leadership articles for both internal and external audiences.
  • Collaborate with the insurance market, clients, and industry associations as needed.
  • Possess a degree with proven experience in cyber insurance underwriting.
  • Extensive experience with underwriting models, product development, manuscript drafting, or technical underwriting is preferred.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, with the capability to foster positive collaborative relationships across functional areas.
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate independently in a complex, matrixed environment.
