Senior Business Analyst - Global Financial Lines & Cyber Underwriting
Location: Flexible
AXA XL is a leader in the underwriting of Financial Lines and Cyber insurance, catering to a diverse range of clients. As the demand for Financial Lines remains strong and Cyber insurance continues to expand, this position presents substantial opportunities for the Senior Business Analyst to elevate their career and professional standing.
The Senior Business Analyst will play a pivotal role within the organization, undertaking critical responsibilities such as project oversight, management of initiatives, data evaluation, reporting, and the creation of impactful presentations.
As clients face increasingly intricate Financial Lines and Cyber risks, the Senior Business Analyst's role is essential in fostering underwriting excellence and crafting customized solutions to meet these evolving challenges.
Key internal collaborations will involve Underwriting Business Units, Pricing Actuaries, Risk Management, Claims, and other divisions, ensuring a unified approach to tackling complex risk scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Implementation:
- Execute the Global Financial Lines and Cyber Product strategy along with necessary controls.
Performance Enhancement:
- Facilitate Financial Lines and Cyber initiatives through data analysis to improve decision-making and portfolio outcomes.
- Develop effective business presentations and comprehensive reports.
- Track portfolio aggregation, claims patterns, and emerging risk factors.
Governance Support:
- Document challenges and assist in governance activities.
- Advocate for data integrity in collaboration with Operations.
Best Practices:
- Utilize collaboration tools to disseminate best practices.
Common Goals:
- Contribute to strategic projects as required.
Ad Hoc Responsibilities:
- Provide additional support as necessary.
This position reports directly to the Global Head of Underwriting Management for Financial Lines and Cyber.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in (re)insurance and operational functions.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Insurance with relevant industry exposure.
- Skilled in data analysis tools and software.
- Ability to analyze data and discern trends.
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
