About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Cyber Underwriter to join our dynamic team at AIG. As a key member of our Underwriting team, you will play a critical role in shaping our Cyber insurance offerings and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to build profitable growth in our Cyber and Tech PI portfolios.
  • Act as a referral point for complex accounts and work closely with supporting areas to control and measure facilities.
  • Support and drive Broker Management initiatives and contribute to the production of timely product changes and upgrades.
  • Drive research and development to ensure products launched are aligned with market needs and company appetite.
  • Play a key role in product innovation and evolve coverage and services offered.
  • Work closely with marketing and communications to produce materials to update clients and brokers on our underwriting appetite, risk trends, and new products and service developments.
  • Link with other minor lines and regional heads to replicate best practices and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Drive a thought leadership framework for both internal and external use anchored in claims activity and emerging trends.
  • Oversee compliance/progress of underwriting training and coordinating underwriting authorities.
  • Provide oversight and tracking of quarterly peer reviews for UK cyber.
  • Coordinate Underwriting Rules with UK head of Cyber and Cyber Global product team and the global product team.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years in Cyber Underwriting, Broking, or Claims.
  • Knowledge of PI is beneficial.
  • A good understanding of the Cyber and Tech business model, underwriting methodology, and the risks we assume.
  • High level of business acumen.
  • High level of problem-solving skills, as well as dealing with ambiguity.
  • Program Management and Governance experience.
  • Knowledge of market segmentation, portfolio management, acquisition, and multiple distribution systems.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent presentation, prioritization, communication, and time management skills.
