Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

Location: Gwersyllt
Working Hours: Days Only (Monday to Friday), No Weekends

Gap Technical Ltd is proud to represent a leading global manufacturing organization in their search for a Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join their team at a facility located near Gwersyllt.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute and fulfill the Planned Preventative Maintenance requirements of the CMMS system with the utmost precision.
2. Maintain and update comprehensive maintenance records.
3. Ensure compliance with all statutory Health and Safety regulations, collaborating closely with the site Health and Safety officer.
4. Diligently document and report all engineering downtime on a daily basis.
5. Perform both planned and reactive mechanical maintenance tasks on various assets, including mechanical plant and associated equipment.
6. Enhance service delivery through effective utilization of systems, equipment, and processes.
7. Develop and assess method statements and risk assessments.
8. Proactively ensure that all plant and equipment are fully operational and suitable for their intended use.
9. Timely procurement of spare parts and equipment to minimize operational disruptions.
10. Undertake any additional tasks as directed by the Site Services Manager.
Candidate Profile:
1. Possess a recognized and relevant apprenticeship.
2. Demonstrated experience as a Site Services Engineer with a solid track record.
3. Proven knowledge in the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and equipment.
4. Competent Steam Boiler Operator (BOAS) certification.
5. Familiarity with actuators, sensors, hot water cylinders, pumps, chillers, ventilation, heating and cooling systems, and compressed air systems.
6. Understanding of small-scale mechanical installation work.
7. Knowledge of Hot and Cold-Water Systems and Effluent Treatment.
8. Ability to perform manual tasks, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
9. Proficient in PC usage.
10. Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
