Maintenance Engineer Job Description

Gap Technical Ltd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team at their facility near Wrexham. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute mechanical activities on-site as directed by the engineering manager.
  • Perform all planned maintenance tasks, change overs, and additional work as required.
  • Diagnose breakdown faults in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements and coordinate with other departments as needed.
  • Report resources and time utilized, job scope expansion, rework, or deferred maintenance as required.
  • Provide technical support for machine breakdowns and changeovers.
Person Specification:
  • Apprentice-trained to ONC/HNC/C&G Level 3.
  • Ability to read and produce mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with PPM on mechanical equipment.
  • Essential electrical and mechanical ability.
  • Complex problem-solving and fault-finding experience.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
