Lighthouse Games is seeking a talented and passionate Senior Tools Engineer to join our growing team in Leamington Spa. We are dedicated to creating exceptional gaming experiences, and our studio culture fosters collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining the tools that empower our content creators to bring their visions to life. You will work closely with artists, designers, and programmers to understand their needs and deliver solutions that enhance productivity and streamline workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality tools that meet the evolving needs of our game development pipeline.
  • Collaborate closely with content teams to identify areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions.
  • Ensure robust testing processes are in place to guarantee the stability and reliability of our tools.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Tools Engineer on AAA game projects.
  • Strong understanding of common DCC (Digital Content Creation) tools such as 3DS Max, Maya, and Houdini.
  • Passion for game development and a desire to create impactful tools that enhance the creative process.
  • Solid grasp of code architecture best practices and software development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5 on AAA titles.
  • Mentoring experience in an engineering role.
  • Experience supporting remote teams.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute large-scale projects throughout the development lifecycle.
