Crewe, Cheshire East, United Kingdom Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Job Overview

We are seeking dedicated Security Professionals to enhance our team. The ideal candidates will possess a strong commitment to advancing their security expertise to ensure a safe and secure atmosphere that facilitates the provision of our healthcare services.

Your primary duty will be to maintain a visible security presence throughout the Trust's facilities, ensuring that our staff, patients, and visitors experience a secure, trouble-free environment and a positive interaction with the Trust.

This role is a full-time position requiring a commitment of hours per week, with a current shift schedule operating on a rotational basis, including both day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

The Security Officer position entails managing potential conflicts and aggression using established conflict resolution strategies, engaging in targeted crime prevention initiatives, and conducting flexible security patrols. Additionally, you will oversee parking lot security across the Trust. The extensive CCTV network and the use of body-worn cameras are instrumental in mitigating crime and supporting the successful prosecution of offenders.

Candidates must possess knowledge and experience in conflict resolution techniques, as this role is demanding. Additional training will be provided to further develop your skills. We will assist you in understanding the unique nature of security services within the NHS, which involves caring for patients and visitors who may be in distress or confusion. A valid driving license is a prerequisite.
