Job Overview

Your primary duty will be to maintain a visible security presence throughout the Trust's facilities, ensuring that our staff, patients, and visitors experience a secure, hassle-free environment and a positive interaction with the Trust.

This role is a full-time position requiring a commitment of hours per week, with a current shift pattern that operates on a rotating basis, including both day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

The Security Officer position entails managing potential threats and conflicts using a conflict resolution framework, implementing targeted crime prevention strategies, and conducting flexible security patrols. Additionally, you will oversee the security of parking areas across the Trust. The extensive CCTV network and the use of body-worn cameras play a crucial role in mitigating crime and facilitating the successful prosecution of offenders.

A solid understanding of conflict resolution techniques is essential for this challenging role, and further training will be provided to enhance your capabilities. We will assist you in developing an understanding of the unique nature of security services within the NHS, which focuses on caring for patients and visitors who may be in distress or confusion. A valid driving license is a prerequisite.
