Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Cost Manager to join our team. As a Cost Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cost management services to our clients. Your primary focus will be on managing commissions, ensuring that client objectives are met, and providing effective cost management solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Commission Management: Manage commissions of varying sizes, ensuring that they are completed efficiently and on time.
- Cost Planning and Estimating: Assist in feasibility studies, write procurement reports, and produce cost plans.
- Tendering and Procurement: Manage the pre-qualification stage, produce tender lists, and compile contractual documents.
- Contract Administration: Conduct contract administration, deal with post-contract cost variances, and manage change control processes.
- Cost Checking and Valuation: Conduct cost checks, carry out valuations, and ensure timely and accurate cost checking and valuation.
- Reporting and Negotiation: Produce monthly post-contract cost reports, present them to clients, and negotiate final accounts.
- Client Interface: Interface with clients, project managers, and other consultants at all project stages.
- Team Leadership: Lead a cost management team, ensuring that they deliver on all accountabilities.
- Professional Qualifications: Chartered status or equivalent, degree or HNC level qualification, and professionally qualified (RICS or similar).
- Experience: Proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management services across the full project lifecycle.
- Skills: Ability to work with autonomy, self-motivation, high organization, and ability to prioritize workload.
