About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join our Community Team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering interventions and support activities to enable recovery in service users accessing our Community Team.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide a range of clinical interventions to service users and their carers, including individual and group work in local communities.
- Assist in the delivery of psychosocial interventions to improve mental health in areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members to provide supporting services to service users.
- Communicate effectively with service users, carers, and team members, including those with barriers to understanding or challenging behavior.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date records and documentation, adhering to professional and Trust standards.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in a mental health or social care setting.
- Ability to work under the direction and supervision of qualified Occupational Therapy staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to Trust policies and procedures.
